Things I’ve learned thus far (being from southern California):

1. When little white things fall from the sky with no big snow storm on the radar, they are snowflakes, not ash from a brush fire.
2. Rain will not get rid of fog like it gets rid of smog.
3. Winter is super super dry, like, my scalp is flaking because its so dry. Tea tree oil is my new friend.
4. De-snowing an SUV = very good workout.
5. 40F  is considered a warm and toasty day.
6. Rain comes in sideways so umbrellas do not always help.
